Shidyk D Shade in Fairy Tail

This is something else I did while bored.

Just my OC, Shidyk D. Shade (or rather just Shidyk), how he would be in Fairy Tail, a very awesome manga.

Shade Shidyk (pronounced Shy-Dyk) is a twenty-three year old member of the Fairy Tail Guild who joined after being saved by two members of said Guild. He’s a defensive-type mage with magic he calls “Doble Knight,”</i> (Doble being Spanish for double) a special magic that allows him to swallow magic and impacts before sending them back at his opponent through the use of spells. His magic is unusual as it allows him to eat magic as though it was food and allows him even greater physical strength that lasts only as long as he has magical energy inside of him (though after he uses the energy from the magic he falls asleep for a while). He also carries special magic storing pills that he can swallow when he is unable to naturally eat the magic thrown at him. His Fairy Tail Guild stamp is located on the back of his right shoulder.

Like everyone else in the Guild, he has had a troubled past. Shade was born to a poor family in the far south of the country and was the elder brother of a younger sister. After his sister’s birth, Shade’s mother died from an illness that left him and his sibling with his lazy father. His old man would usually flaunt away the hard earned money Shade made for drinks, women, or gambling. Then one day after coming back from running some errands, Shade was ambushed by men that his father owed money to and sold as a fighter for an illegal underground arena where he would spend most of his childhood and teen years fighting against monsters or other fighting mages. It was only when he turned 19 that Shade was rescued by two members of Fairy Tail that he got his revenge against the owners of the arena. After the destruction of the arena, Shade asked the pair if he could join Fairy Tail as he wanted to make money so that his sister wouldn’t suffer. After two years working on several dangerous missions, Shade made his sister move to a nearby apartment that was in Magnolia Town so that their father would never do to her what he had done to him.

Aside from his ambition of becoming strong enough that he would be considered one of the strongest mages in Fairy Tail, Shade also wants to become a professional musician. He is quite well-versed in playing guitar and learns melodies quickly once given the rough idea of how it sounds. Shade gets along with almost everyone in the Guild with the sole exception of Luxus Dreher, almost immediately becoming quiet and glaring at him most of the time after Luxus enters the room. Shade refers to most of the Guild by one nickname he has attached to them through his years with them (Natsu is often referred to as “Hotshot,” Gray is called “Snowy,” and so on). The only exceptions of this rule seem to be Hoko</i> (one of the mages that saved him and whom he begrudgingly considers his best friend), Artemis</i> (one of the mages that saved him and whom he sees as an elder brother), Markarov</i> (whom Shade considers more of a father than his true father and whom he has drinks with when he has the money), Maria</i> (a mage that he, Hoko, and Artemis met and became friends with), Rose</i> (his girlfriend whom lets his sister stay with her in a small apartment that she owns and who fixes his clothes when he visits her), and of course, Chou</i> (his younger sister who currently helps Rose in her shop).

Shade had a crush once on Erza</i>, an Exquip mage and the strongest female in Fairy Tail, though he stopped dating her after Shade accidentally pointed one error she had committed and was found nearly dead the next day. He also had at one time a crush on Kana Alberona</i>, but stopped dating her because she drank too much in one of her dates and left him near penniless for his share of the rent he pays with Hoko and Artemis. During one of his lone missions to earn money, Shade helped a young tailor named Rose fixing her shop. He also helped her by chasing off a small gang that had been threatening her if she didn’t pay for their protection. Since then Shade and Rose have gone out a few times and the gray-haired man has been thinking of marrying the violet-eyed, raven-haired tailor on several occasions. He has made sure that she stays safe by keeping quiet about her from others as he doesn’t want anything bad happening to her (though most of the Guild is aware of her). He has a love for good food, especially meat, and will eat as much as he can (which is more than ten people can handle). He also comments on how certain types of magic “tastes” to him (i.e. fire magic will taste “spicy” while ice magic would taste “chilly” when eaten). Shade also tends to say that he would be the strongest mage in Fairy Tail if he just didn’t fall asleep after having eaten magic and using up the energy. Due to his magic, Shade can tell the different person’s characters and their magic by sniffing the air, and commenting on how it stinks if it’s bad or how it smells “not bad” if they are good.

Shade’s magic is somewhat unusual in that is broken in two different spells (with one residing in each arm) with variants for those two spells. His left arm holds magic he calls “Black Knight” has only three spells: Full Absorption</i> (which swallows all magic in front of the arm), Return</i> (which repels the magic thrown at him rather than swallowing it), and Absorption</i> (which is his standard spell and swallows only the magic that his left hand touches). His right arm, however, holds what he calls the “White Knight” and it has several spells that depend on how much magic he has stored and can then use in any form he wishes: Charging Javelin</i> (Shade collects the magic into his right arm before he expels some from his elbow and accelerates the magic coated fist that has the shape of a spear), Splitting Axe</i> (Shade performs a large karate chop that shoots out a magic, white “air blade” at his opponent), Crushing Hammer</i> (Shade jumps into the air and creates a gigantic white hammer in the air which he can then use to crush his opponent), Shield Palm</i> (Shade launches a palm thrust that creates a wall of white magical energy that can both flatten and defend against his opponent), Flying Arrow</i> (Shade sends several short white blasts in the shape of arrows at his opponent), Ballista Straight</i> (an improved version of the Charging Javelin</i>, the speed, power, and size of this spell is twice that of the previous form), Zweihander Strike</i> (an improved version of Splitting Axe</i>, the blade of magic is now not only longer but able to pierce through powerful barriers as well), Blitzkrieg Shock</i> (Shade creates a small barrier around him that sends spells/attacks thrown at him in different directions or electrocutes anyone who touches it), Chakram Scatter</i> (Shade creates a pair of magical disks that when toss split into smaller and faster disks that cut anything in their path), Claymore</i> (Shade makes the magic on his right arm create a sword of white magical energy that he can use in close combat), Morning Star</i> (Shade creates a gigantic orb of magical energy that causes a powerful shockwave on impact), and Ultima Sword</i> (Shade launches all of the magic stored in his right arm in one powerful and deadly punch at his opponent). Shade also states that he has a form called Knight’s End</i> that he uses only when he has no other option as it causes severe damage to his body if he stays in it too long.
